Our Houses

House 1 (Can Tagomago) was built in 1970 and is a copy of the typical Ibicencan style of that era. In 2008, the house was completely renovated and modernised, but we have kept the original, round contours of the house as well as a number of charming, traditional features such as the kitchen bar, the small wooden windows and the Mediterranean shutters.

House 2 (Casa Nubita), built in 2006, is not a copy of the old tradition but a new interpretation – a house for post-modern life. The typical cubic forms are still dominant, but the contours are sharp-edged, the windows large and directed towards the sun. In winter, they are an efficient solar heating system. In summer, the doors on the upper floor can be opened and the ter   race then turns into a comfortable outdoor dining and living room.

Once in a while, we all need a cosy place to withdraw, relax and watch TV. Therefore, our house has a pleasant living room  with a super king-size divan, SAT-TV, stereo equipment and fire place. Especially in winter, this is the comfy corner of the house.

Of course, our Nubita philosophy applies to both houses: no annoying bits and pieces, but functional, high-quality comfort and concentration on what really is important to relax and unwind.

We believe that a good night sleep is extremely important to relax and unwind. Therefore, we have equipped all bedrooms with beds made from solid wood and high-quality anti-mite mattresses – ideal for all allergy sufferers.

In both houses you will find a lot of photographs. Urban and rural motives have been combined on purpose and are the owners’ own production – photography, editing and printing. If you like the pictures, please leave them where they are. You can buy them. At a fair price. The photographer does not want to get rich, but he is happy if you enjoy the pictures.

The difference between swimming and bathing.

There are many pools, most of them are nothing but a small basin to refresh. Our pool is 13,5 m long so that you can actually swim in it. Almost all year through, because we have a solar heating system which heats up the water in autumn, winter and spring. And the sheltered corner between the two houses allows you to sunbathe even in the middle of winter!
